BALTIC CENTRE OF ART |
|
The Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art, the world's
largest gallery for dynamic, fluid and international programmes
for modern art, is located in a former industrial building on the
south bank of the river Tynes in Gateshead.
The centre has no permanent exhibits. Instead, it focuses on continual
change and renewal with everything from public favourites and noted
works and artists to local exhibitors. The Baltic is a place where
visitors can experience innovation and provocative new art, relax,
have fun, learn and discover new ideas. This is a fitting place
for a solid wood floor from Lapland. |
